RECYCLE PLASTIC FOR MARINE LIFE!

Wild4Ever is working with the Greater Cleveland Aquarium to encourage plastic recycling to prevent further destruction of our waterways and marine life.  Much of the plastic we use every day ends up in our marine environments.  The plastic can be mistakenly consumed as “food” by aquatic animals – occasionally having devastating results.  Bring in 20 of your used plastic grocery bags to one of our participating locations @ 4879 Richland Ave. Norton or 919 West St. in Wadsworth and receive a free Greater Cleveland Aquarium/Wild4Ever eco-friendly tote bag in exchange for your used plastic.  These totes are a simple, convenient, inexpensive way to help protect the environment!

RECYCLE PAPER FOR WILDLIFE!

Did you know Americans throw away enough office and writing paper annually to build a wall 12 feet high stretching from Los Angeles to New York City?  Recycling paper saves trees, water, electricity and landfill space!  Visit one of our paper collection centers located @ 4873 Richland Ave. Norton or 1053 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd. in Copley with your boxes, magazines, cardboard & newspapers.  All paper products are accepted.  And don’t forget all of that holiday wrapping paper, packaging & gift boxes, cards & catalogs!  Every little bit helps and 100% of proceeds are used to support local wildlife!

Rain forests cover only 2% of the earth’s surface yet they provide habitat and nutritional support for nearly half of the earth’s living species.  Wild4Ever is a supporter of many existing and deserving conservation programs.  This year we have selected a donation match program for the Rain Forest Rescue Project.  For every $10 collected for RFR, Wild4Ever will match your donations to maximize support for this much needed conservation effort.  $100 can save 25,000 sq ft of rain forest!  If you’d like to help save the rainforests, visit one of our collection locations located at 4879 Richland Ave. Norton OH, 919 West St in Wadsworth or click on the Donate button to donate online.  Don’t forget to specify “Rainforest Rescue” in the dedication box.

This year’s Walk on the Wild Side was a big success and even more fun was had with our first ever Run Wild 5K trail run. Thanks to our sponsors and to all of you for participating! Jason Whittle took 1st place followed by Joe Meeks in 2nd and Mark Purdy close behind in 3rd. Joe Meeks was also the lucky winner of our Run Wild raffle and a free Time Warner Akron Marathon registration! Congratulations to all of the runners!

Wild4Ever, with the help of Metro Parks, Serving Summit County funded the construction of a condominium for a local bat population. The condo was placed on private property in Geauga County and will serve as maternity roost for thousands of big and little brown bats who raise their young together in colonies during the summer. Local bat populations face many survival risks including habitat destruction, pesticide use and white-nose syndrome. White-nose syndrome kills bats during hibernation and is greatly affecting little brown and big brown bat populations in the eastern United States. Providing this bat condominium will assure this local established maternity colony will have a place to raise their young for generations to come.

Wild4Ever is proud that its primary focus is on the preservation of local wild habitats along with the support of local conservation issues and animal sanctuaries.  We are pleased to support Metro Parks Serving Summit County, Stark Parks, Friends of the Metro Parks, Medina Raptor, Project Orphan, Happy Trails Sanctuary and Noah’s Lost Ark sanctuary among others.  In addition, Wild4Ever supports the annual medical care and rehabilitation of hundreds of injured native wild animals.
